Aisha Hinds is an American actress best well-known for her performances in the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her appearance on the show in 2003 she has displayed her range in acting providing outstanding performances on television series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. The first time she was noticed was for her character Anna in the 2005 film Assault on Precinct 13. It was however her performance as feminist activist Fannie Lou Hamer in the biographical film All the Way that finally made her an actress. Hind received praise by critics for her portrayal as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's period dramatic series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The series has been renewed for the third season, thanks to 20th Century Fox Television. Hind is currently filming the Hollywood feature Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Her birthplace was Mangalore India. The place she was born is Mangalore, in India. His father Krishnaraj was an Army scientist. He passed away on 18 March 2017. Her mother Vrinda is a homemaker. Aditya Rai, her older brother, is a merchant marine engineer. Bachchan's older brother Aditya Rai coproduced and cowrote Dil Ka Rishta along with their mother. Arya Vidya Mandir was the high school in which Bachchan was a student after her family moved to Mumbai. She finished her secondary education at Jai Hind College for a year before enrolling at D.G. Ruparel College, Matunga. The college scored 91% on her H.S.C. exams. Her adolescent years were spent studying music and classical dance for five time. She loved zoology. Bachchan was a student of architecture when she won the title of Miss World 1994. This was her first step onto the front of modeling. Her career was booming with PepsiCo Inc. and Vogue magazine along with an ambassador contract with L'Oreal Paris in 2003. In 1997, she had two critically acclaimed roles: Iruvar and Aur pyaar ho gaya. Bachchan was pushed to the forefront of New Bollywood after both films break the norms of Bollywood films of the time. Bachchan made her a queen of Bollywood with her portrayal of Paro the deceived lover in Devdas The film was among Bollywood's most popular films. This was also the first Bollywood movie to screen at Cannes Film Festival. In the following years, she gained great acclaim for her portrayal of Chokher Bali (2003) the tense thriller based on Rabindranath Tagore's story. Bachchan was the very first Indian to be on the jury of the Cannes Film Festival. Bachchan made her film debut in Gurinderchadha's Bride and Prejudice, a musical and dancing adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan was able to bring her stunning beauty and charisma to her debut major English language film. The actress returned to Bollywood to star in the critically acclaimed Dhoom: 2 (2006) before releasing Provoked: A True Story (2006) in English. She was married in April 2007 to Abhishek Bachchan a frequent co-star, and father of Bollywood great Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that brought together two of India's most powerful personalities.
