Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix's athletic talent was evident from the moment she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks after the first time she tried out. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed the sports contract with Adidas. She then was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. A year later Felix earned her very first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting an all-time junior world record running 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. In 2005, she was the world's youngest champion in 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, defeating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She always finished at the top of the podium in every event.
